Question by xoom: why must Christians preach in the youtube comments?
i see them more and more.
i know other religions do it too…but what i mostly see is protestant christians making religious comments on videos that have nothing to do with religion.
for example, an Enya song …a song so beautiful it can make the hair on your neck stand up, a christian will wreck the comments section, calling it “pagan” or “not pleasing to God” even though the song isnt about god nor religion nor CHRISTIANITY.
even in a childrens choir video, some fundamentalist will comment something about the “doctrinally incorrect lyrics”.
i mean, come on!..these are kids singing!! …and some christian zealot starts ragging on Catholics or Anglicans!
religious extremists dont really “get” the BEING HUMBLE thing, i’m guessing

I try my best not to preach. But I do try to answer the questions people ask based on what I believe. Otherwise, there’s not much reason to be on R&S.

They preach everywhere. Even when they’re politely told that you’re not interested. They’re very rude and they don’t get it. They also seem to be very short on manners.
Why? Because their religion tells them its ok.

We are told to preach the gospel throughout the world. Modern technology (which includes youtube) is one more way to do that.

i guess for the same reasons that atheists take over the religion and spirituality forum….but on another note, i have to agree that some of the things christians say are over the top. not all of them, but some people speak above their level of knowledge, christian or otherwise,
It’s very annoying. I agree. Unfortunately you’ll find intolerant people at youtube just like you will at yahoo!answers and they have the right to freedom of speech just as we do.
It’s ironic the fundies would call Enya “pagan.” Shows they don’t know what they’re talking about. Despite her music being classified as “New Age”, Enya has gone on record numerous times as being a devout Roman Catholic … which last time I looked at the world’s major religions is still considered CHRISTIAN!

Just some advice. Just stay in your own BACKYARD and concentrate on only your behavior. Don’t worry about what the world has to do to please you, but what you can do for your country to please them. Griping about what it is or isn’t is not solving anything. Don’t you agree?
We are not robots and are each entitled to our own opinions on Youtube and anywhere else. Just like everyone else.
Christians are as free to make up youtube nonsense as everyone else does. You are not required to watch them.

Makes you miss the days when the christians weren’t lazy, and they stood for hours on street corners preaching the gospel. The rabid christians are showing their true colors anonymously, and those comment sections are free advertising for their beliefs.
