I want to know if, and how, cats are connected to the spiritual, the metaphysical, and the cosmic.

since there is nothing spiritual or cosmic or metaphysical, they aren;t actually.
They were revered in ancient egypt and supposedly familiars for witches, but that’s all myth
One story deep in my memory.. was in the olden dayz in Egypt, cats were considered a gift from God and were sent to rid the area of unwanted vermin and such. Cat’s protected their surroundings and were highty regarded. I suppose that could be considered a of spiritual nature.
I’m sure you could look up this legend and find out more if you’re so inclined.
