Question by j: Do you know of movies involving wrestling?
I’m not talking about WWE wrestling. I am not looking for movies that embarrass the sport like Vin Diesel’s The Pacifier. Please avoid documentaries too (Veritas is a wrestling movie, but a documentary and wouldn’t count.)
I’m talking about movies like Reversal, Vision Quest and Personal Effects. (That is my list as it stands)
NOT WWE, The wrestler is a good movie, but it’s professional wrestling. I’m looking for movies involving folk style, freestyle, or grecco roman.

Eh, “Ready to Rumble” is sort of embarrassment to wrestling. It tends to make it’s audience look like white trash. Plus, of course, it stars David Arquette.
I’d recommend “Beyond the Mat”.

The world According to Garp…it has lots of wrestling in it tho its not the main subject. Good movie!
There is an older movie called Take Down which is a comedy but doesnt make fun of wrestling. About an english teacher that never wrestled that is kind of forced to coach a team of misfits. bad news bears kind of movie…good luck finding take down. I cant find it anymore.
Nickelodeon movie Going to The Mat about a blind wrestler. Pretty cool.
