Question by just try: Tarot. Can you recommend a book about learning the art?
I’d like to get a book on learning to read Tarot. I would like to read the cards for myself and possibly others.

I can recommend the companion book for the Gilded Tarot. Why? Because that card deck is traditional with great imagery. The beautiful imagery on the cards helps you remember the story line and the interpretations, which keeps you from having to reference the guide book so often. Plus, they are easy to find, large enough to work with, and beautiful as art.

  • Helen says:

Learning the Tarot by Joan Bunning (who also has an excellent comprehensive free Tarot course at http://www.learntarot.com)
Tarot for Dummies – Amber Jayanti
The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Tarot – Arlene Tognetti
The Tarot Bible – Sarah Bartlett
Tarot for Yourself – Mary K Greer
How to Read the Tarot – Sylvia Abraham
Tarot Tells the Tale – James Ricklef
The Only Tarot Book You’ll Ever Need – Skye Alexander

You can read book reviews on http://www.amazon.com and http://www.aeclectic.net.

Your deck should also come with a little white book (LWB).

I recommend that you start with the Rider-Waite deck.

    Have fun and good luck!
