im new to Tarot cards and i have a deck i picked that are PERFECT! its crazy i found them so close to what i imagined i wanted. i was also given a deck by a friend that she had used and i LOVE these images too. my question is, can i used two decks at once?? shuffle them and use them together or are you supost to only use one deck at a time??

You can shuffle the two decks together, it’s fine.
No. Use one at a time. Combining them will give you mixed messages. Choose whichever calls to you as your primary deck and keep the other nearby, there may be occasions that it will call to you. I have been reading Tarot cards for 42 years.

Sometimes the situation may need two decks, maybe shuffled together, maybe shuffled apart but both used in the spread.
Sometimes it is good to read with one deck.

As a begginer I would use only one deck at a time, they are confusing enough to new students.
But to study both deck at the same time, go ahead, but stop if you get confused.

The way that the decks work are that all of the 78 cards in the deck actually live inside the Fool. So if you have two of them in there, you are getting a set of symbols from two different sources. The answers that you get will be jumbled and you will end up with all sorts of strange things. I assure you that once you learn to read the cards the 78 images will be more than enough to get specific answers.
I have 6 decks of various types and image sets. I have purposes for all of them, depending on what I am doing. Some are just clearer for certain things.
