In Florida we have some of the highest foreclosure percentages, highest number of short sales and biggest decreases in value of anywhere in America.
Well it’s official down here in Florida we have almost the worst housing of anywhere in the nation, wow. As an investor it is rare to talk to someone who actually has some equity in their home, unless of course they have no mortgage at all & yes that is the case for many people. They however, don’t get any press coverage at all. All they do is sit their quietly and sip their tea and nibble on their crumpets and maybe do a little gardening.
This is a crazy market and all the pundits are talking about short sales and bank REOs and for many home owners, actuall the vast majority of homeowners, they are not behind on payments and in fact 1/3 or Americans don’t even have a mortgage on their home. Good for them. We also know that most Realtors are ?>#@() idiots on their best day(sorry, just my experience)
