Question by Jenny Yin: Where can I find crystals for my collection?
I need to find a place where I can find crystals. I don’t mean eBay! I mean, somewhere in nature. Example, a river. What I really need to know is the specific names of these places. I’m a huge fan of crystals, and I rreaallly wan’t to start a collection of them! Please, ppppppplllllleeeeaaaaaasssssseee help me start a collection of crystals!

You don’t say where you are, but if I were you, I would contact the local community college or university, or even a high school that offers geology, and ask the instructors where geodes and crystals might be found in the area. They’ll know, because of field trips.
Also you should plan to get to Tucson, AZ in Feb., for the largest gem show in the US….and the one at Quartzsite is right after. You’ll find the most fantastic specimens in the world, as Tucson is a major show…and usually for about half of what you would pay retail. Plus the fun of looking.
