The use of these runes with galdring (singing) and drumming will induce a shamanic state of being. Your energy will shift so that it can easily pass through the veils between the worlds.

    Seidhr.Great video!!!!

Nice vid. I was sort of dumbstruck the first time I used runes. They really are keys to experiencing what they represent in a real, authentic way. I was sort of dismayed by the “no shamans in norsemen culture” someone else made. er, every culture has a shamanic equivalent. we’re moving toward a more shared experience but there is still this “you’re not doing it the RIGHT way” stuff that holds people back from moving forward.

    subbed for sure.

Diana Paxson is practicing and teaching Seidhr out of Berkeley, California and I equate it with shamanism. Although someone I recently read compared it to a Northern Umbanda.

  • franznpdx says:

There are shaman like people among the Sami the reindeer herding tribe of the far northern parts of Scandinavia. And there is Seid or Seider from Iceland and Scandinavia that pretty much meets the definition of shamanism.

    it s TURKish runic

That was really helpful, was about the most understandable thing about shamanic runes I could find so far… I really wanna dig deeper into shamanic arts and ways, but I realize it’s not very good to do it in practice without experience… Just theory isn’t nearly enough, I wish there was someone here who could guide me…

i am in the middle of your book right now, its very good.

  • kaedrich says:

Keep in mind that similarities attract. Be sure you are in a “higher” state of mind – free of fear, anger, or hatred. Set your intention to encounter only wise and peaceful beings.

Even with that, no “shamanic” type practice is recommended to “fly solo” until you know what to feel and what to expect and what to do just in case. I had hoped to hit some of those points in the video, but it doesn’t hurt to re-state them

    Thanks!

Thanks for the video. But as for a beginner could it be dangerous?

  • luciaurea says:

    Thankyou for share ^.^

  • kaedrich says:

yup, you are right. In fact I make no claim that the technique is historically accurate. It is my own that I have developed. 🙂

However, the Eddas suggest at shamanic journeying (Odhinn, Hermod,Skirnir Loki). Odhinn used runes to raise the volva and Skirnir threatened to use them.

There is no documentation extant of seidhr or shamanic techniques that were used 1,000 years ago. Good thing industriusness is a virtue. 🙂

  • SvitjodsJarl says:

Intressting, Since runes only came from Scandinavia, And how there were no Shamans in the Norsemen culture, Rune Priests however did exist, so this video is a 1star..
