Schools of Energy Healing
If you’ve ever wondered about the practice of Reiki, Qigong, or touch therapy – schools of energy healing can help you understand the principles, philosophies and applications of these and other ancient healing arts.
Depending on which course of study interests you the most, schools of energy healing commonly provide a broad selection of training programs. For example, if you would like to learn about Chinese energy healing practices like Qigong, you can either enroll in a Master’s of Oriental Medicine program for this and other Chinese medicine modalities, or take a single course in Qigong and become certified in the healing art.
Schools of energy healing that provide Qigong certification programs instruct in the principles of Qi energy, meditation, exercises relative to Qigong, vital elements, (and sometimes Tai Chi) among others.
Aura and chakra healing are also studies that you may encounter at schools of energy healing. These metaphysical healing treatments are based on mind, body and spirit medicine. Students enrolled in these studies will learn about the seven chakras and layers of aura energy; and how to provide attunements in person and through distance healing.
